Chicago native vocalist Darryl Pandy was in the history limelight when the house music sound crossed over the Chicago city borders to the UK and European audience in 1986. [a=Farley "Jackmaster" Funk], [a=Jesse Saunders], [a=Duane Buford] & [a=Vince Lawrence] brought in Pandy to lay down the vocals to "Love Can't Turn Around" that became a US commercial success and made the Chicago house sound and house music as we know it today a widespread phenomenon. The song ventured across the borders, and when it hit UK in mid-86, it became a Top-Ten hit. The rest is dance music history.
Since then, Pandy has been a consistent household name, lending his powerful voice to several acclaimed dance recordings for over two decades.
Darryl Pandy passed away on June 10th, 2011.
