Julian Bonequi
Mexican drummer and vocalist born in 1974, who works with ritual improvisation and new-media art education. Curator and founder of Audition Records, currently runs the artist-in-residence project at GIS, an experimental art house-studio based in Mexico City. He has performed under the conduction of the London and Berlin Improvisers Orchestra, William Parker, Vagina Dentata Organ, and played with Gudrun Gut and Joachim Irmler, Ute Wassermann, Joachim Montessuis and Paal Nilssen-Love, among many others. In 2015 his music was launched into space alongside works of Mats Gustafsson and Pierre Henry. In the 90's he was the drummer of bands as Decibel in Mexico, and currently together with Cacophonic Joy is member of (sic).
